Busan, BTS and the Climate Hope We Found Along the Way

Thousands of ARMY traveled to Busan to celebrate BTS. We did too, and we also set out to explore how fandom can inspire climate action.
Over a few unforgettable days, BTS Army 4 Earth and ClimateHope discovered that music, art and community can spark conversations about the future of our planet.
ARIRANG x Land Back
One of our favorite projects was connecting BTS's ARIRANG with the Land Back movement.
Both tell stories about belonging, resilience and caring for the places we call home.
Through dance, we explored how climate justice also means supporting Indigenous stewardship and protecting biodiversity.
Nature Through Art
At Arte Museum Busan, immersive forests, oceans and flowers reminded us what climate action is really about: protecting the beauty of the natural world.
Art has a unique way of helping people fall in love with nature before asking them to protect it.
Busan's Subway Shows What SDG 11 Looks Like
Busan's subway wasn't just transportation. It became a citywide celebration of BTS, with murals and installations that transformed stations into joyful public spaces.
It's a great example of SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, where clean public transit and vibrant cultural spaces make cities more livable and sustainable.
Every Sticker Started a Conversation
Throughout Busan, we shared BTS x Sustainable Development Goals stickers with fans from around the world.
Some recognized the SDGs immediately. Others were learning about them for the first time. Every sticker became a small invitation to talk about climate hope.
What's Next?
Busan reminded us that climate action doesn't always start with policy. Sometimes it starts with a song, a dance, a subway ride or a conversation between fans.
